Nice AVCHD video on my ZS3 May 10, 2010 kts (Minneapolis, MN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my full-time Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 card. Shoots 2 hours of hi def AVCHD at 17 Mbit/s smoothly. Using the hi-speed burst feature, also shoots 10 pictures/sec smoothly. Granted, on the ZS3, hi-speed burst mode is limited to 2-3 meg picture size and 100 pics total, no lag detected, but not comparable to DSLR performance. Hi def video and picture playback on the ZS3 using the mini-HDMI port to a 50" hi def TV is equally smooth. Just a perfect card for the ZS3.
Repeating a tip read elsewhere and attributed to the pros: for card longevity when using a Windows computer, just copy your files, don't use move or delete. Use the format function on the camera (not the computer) to delete files from the card, and use the camera's delete function to delete individual files.
Note: Purchased from Beach Camera, through Amazon. My card arrived quickly and says "Ultra" not "Ultra II" but does have the 15 MB/s on the front. This is simply a marketing name change, nothing more.
dependable memory card May 7, 2010 mtnpiper (Ooltewah, Tennessee USA) Another excellent product from SanDisk. Always pleased with the quality in every SanDisk item that I own. This joins the club. Hope it's enough memory--until I upgrade to a camera that shoots with more megapixels. Soon, I hope.
Slow as snails delivery April 23, 2010 M. Creecy (Atlanta, GA) 2 out of 13 found this review helpful
I ordered this memory card the same day I ordered my new camera from Amazon.com. The camera came in about a week. The memory card came in a month. Talking about snail's pace. I really needed this card to take pictures at an event and I was so disappointed when it did not come as promised.
Picture is different, but the Product is the same April 19, 2010 E. Brannan (Austin, Texas United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Like other reviewers, I did NOT receive an Ultra II card. I was sent a 16 GB Ultra card. The image is wrong. Beech Camera explained by e-mail that SanDisk does not make a product that is labeled "Ultra II" anymore. I confirmed this with SanDisk as well as other vendors of their product. Beech Camera was responsive by e-mail, and followed up a couple days later by calling me to make sure that everything was okay, and that I was satisfied with the product. Good customer service. Please don't get freaked out when the "Ultra" card shows up. It's the same thing. The description for this product just needs to be updated.
Got the Ultra not Ultra II April 9, 2010 Stevo Fish (Oakland, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had the same problem as the last 2 reviews. I ordered 2 Ultra II 16GB cards but only received the Ultra and not Ultra II as per the product name and number on Amazon. Looks like there may have been a packaging mix up by SanDisk as the product # on the back shows SDSDRH-016G-A11, but the packaging and product only says Ultra only. If you look up the Ultra only product number on Amazon it has a different product number. I checked another website and confirmed that the Ultra II should be the product number listed above. I sent an e-mail to Beach Camera about this so let's see what happens. I tried one of them in my new camcorder and it seems ok, but wonder what it would be like with the Ultra II with the faster write speed....not happy that we did not get what we ordered!!
Update - 4/17 Beach Camera responded as follows: "Sorry for the confusion. The item ordered is the Sandisk Ultra, however I understand that Amazon was showing a picture of the Ultra 2 on the listing. The Ultra 1 and the Ultra 2 are now discontinued, and Sandisk now calls the Ultra 2 the Sandisk Ultra. If you call Sandisk they will confirm this. However, if you are uncomfortable keeping the product, please let me know and I will be more than glad to accept a return for a full refund, we no longer have the Ultra 2 model."
Another viewer commented the same thing about Sandisk changing the label but the product is the same Ultra II. I'll trust what they are saying is true and so far it is working A-OK on my Sanyo VPC-CS1 camcorder, so I give it a pass for now. Just wish the product was updated correctly on Amazon as to not be confusing for us consumer folks!!
