Broke within a month! Do not buy! June 14, 2010 Brian W. Brown (Lavergne, TN United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was a Christmas gift and it broke within one month. I contacted Amazon about returning the item and they said that they would exchange it for me. I did what they asked (shipping directions, etc.) and no word - NOTHING. Two FAILS in one!
I finally broke down and bought a Energizer book light at Target and love it.

Well worth having June 13, 2010 Pat (Swansboro, NC) The light for the Kindle has been a much appreciated adjunct to my reading pleasure. There is however one point which I hadn't anticipated. That being the glare back from the screen. When I use the light, it means that I have to take a moment or two in order to ensure that the glare is not a distraction. Having but one hand, there is also the convenience of being able to use the light on my computer keyboard so as not to disturb others at night. Its use is not restricted to Kindle reading.

Ripoff June 8, 2010 The Enlightened (NJ, USA) This light is perfect for Kindle - however you are getting completely ripped off by paying twenty dollars. You can get the same exact item (with batteries included) from this seller for quarter of the price (it varies - sometimes it's three dolalrs, currently it's six dollars):

JUST AN ACCESSORY June 8, 2010 KSue 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
THIS LAMP IS NICE, CUTE, LIGHTWEIGHT,CONVENIENT ALL THE GOOD CRITERIA YOU WANT FOR A LAMP SUCH AS THIS. BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT I THOUGHT IT SHOULD. I HAVE TO PUT ON EXTRA LIGHTS IN THE ROOM OR USE THE OVERHEAD LIGHT IN AN AIRPLANE JUST TO READ THE PRINT AND IT'S READ AT A FONT LARGE ENOUGH FOR ME TO READ (I HAD MY EYES EXAMINED AND MY EYESIGHT IS FINE). SO IT'S JUST AN ACCESSORY BUT NON-FUNCTIONAL FOR ME.
The need for this light convinced me NOT to buy a Kindle June 8, 2010 Dave M (LaPorte, IN, USA) 1 out of 10 found this review helpful
The fact that the Kindle LACKS internal lighting is so blindingly stupid that I was considering buying one, never guessing that the screen was not self-lighting. Glad I ran across the review for this light.
