I loved this light, used it for my Kindle DX exclusively. it was light, bright enough for my need,s stayed in place, nicely without slipping or needing much adjustment.
I had one minor and one major complaint
the flexible neck seemed not to keep the shape I put it in very long, it would gradually drift out of position but it was slow enough as to not really be noticeable.
the major problem was that after about a month of use the spring snapped. the entire top half of the clamp broke off, and went flying across the room.
I was disheartened to say the least.

Out of the box, it was great. I liked that it had 2 levels of brightness. When I turned it on to use it later, it would not turn on. I kept trying...nothing. Next day, I tried it and it came on. Lasted 15 minutes and the light went out. Today, nothing. I no longer have the box so I can't return it. I'm ordering another brand today. But I'll never trust the Mighty Bright brand again :(

This is a great little light! It illuminates the Kindle page uniformly, which makes it very comfortable on the eyes while reading. I always use the high setting, so we'll see what this does to the battery life. The arm occasionally shifts when I readjust my sitting position. I like how it does not illuminate the entire room while reading at night, thus not disturbing others while they are sleeping and not wasting energy.

I bought this to use with my Sony PRS-505 eReader. When it arrived I was a little disappointed because the only setting that seemed to work was the one LED. Then after I had it on for a while the second LED started working. I tried different brands of batteries to no avail. It almost seemed like the second LED had to warm up before it would come on (somewhere between 5 & 15 minutes...it varied). So, I decided this was unacceptable and decided to contact the manufacturer instead of Amazon (don't ask why, I don't really know). I sent them an email and they responded the next day and told me they were sorry for my problems and that a new one was being shipped out within the week and that I could just dispose of the defective one. Well, needless to say, I kept the old one at home by the bed and just deal with the inconvenience until it decides to work.
As for the replacement; it works beautifully and I haven't had a single problem with it. If there was one thing I would change about the design, it would be to add some type of rubber grip inside the clip area. Sometimes I get tired of reading on my back and will switch to my side and the light/clip has a tendency to kind of fall over and I have to reposition it some to keep the light where I want it.
Other than that, I am happy with this light!

This clip-on light is really a great little gadget. I use it for all sorts of reading not just for my Kindle. I find it superb for reading outdoors where there is no light or electricity. The two different brightness settings make it ideal to fit into just about any situation that it may be used in.
The unit is compact and can easily fit into a purse or perhaps a pocket. It seems to be rugged enough to be put to the test if necessary, Ive dropped mine while clipped to a book and nothing untold happened.
I would recommend these very highly for anyone that likes to read in good light... sometimes I find myself trying to read in low light conditions and it is absolutely wretched without the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 when I may have to read other than where my Mighty Bright may be.
All told I have purchased two of them one was a gift and it was totally praised by the recipient. I also like the fact that they are available in other colors than black or white.
When all is said and done, they are a very useful tool for readers or perhaps even hobbyists. The one thing I find difficult to do is find the proper AC adapter for the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 on the Amazon site, it is confusing, and I really don't know if any of the sellers realize it. The ads are rather vague about which one works with the XtraFlex2.
Altogether They are very nice...
