Will always have a spare January 31, 2010 JoAnn Sanborn (Hudson, MI) Nice to have backup chargers for the Kindle. I keep the car one in the car and the extra wall one in my suitcase. I have been on vacation twice and my Kindle ran out of juice. Now I won't have to worry about that.
Well Suited Power Supply January 30, 2010 John G. Speckman This power supply is a supplemental one for the one that accompanies the Kindle. We use it for charging at the office and leave the accompanying one for home. It appears to do what it was designed to do.
No information on long-term reliability - we've only had it a month or so, but it appears to be well-made.
Recommended as a supplemental charger/power supply.
Wall charger should be optional January 27, 2010 Pamela Fullen (Pleasanton, CA) Chargers work just fine, but you don't really need to spend for the wall charger because you get on with your kindle. Should have been an optional addition to order.
Kindle car and wall charger January 25, 2010 J. Grace (Sonora, CA)
These two items are very handy. Yesterday I was able to charge my Kindle even thought our power in the house was out. Very handy.
I Will Not leave home without it. January 6, 2010 D. Lescault (IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, US) My sister bought a Kindle before the price went down and still said it is the best money she'd ever spent. I have to agree with her. I purchased the Kindle for my self for Christmas on her recommendation and never looked back. My boyfriend is actually jealous of the time I spend reading. I had always promised myself that someday I would read the "classics" and now that I have the ability to carry up to 1500 titles, that is exactly what I have been doing. I can get most of them for nothing or next to nothing. Steinbeck, Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Austin to name a few. I also am able to receive all of the modern books I can read in no time at all and I am NEVER "between" or "out of" something to read. As an avid reader the Kindle will pay for itself in about 3 months with the savings on hard cover books. I also like the fact that no more trees have to be sacrificed for my enjoyment. I travel once a year to South Africa and the plane ride itself is pure torture. Whoever said "getting there is half the fun" never flew coach for thirty hours. This year I'm going to lose myself in the some of the best literature ever written along with a some of my new favorites, King, Koontz, Grafton, Brown to name a few of them. I'm so glad my boyfriend can swim because if the plane goes down and I can save only one thing, it will be my Kindle.
