I like the portability of this cover....I don't like that it announces that I'm carrying an AmazonKindle on the front cover...It would be better for me if it had no markings on it at all...It does a great job of protecting the Kindle, though.

I almost didn't buy this cover because other reviews mentioned it could crack the Kindle if forcibly opened from the rear flap. I decided to get it anyway, and after using it for a week, I am happy with my decision. It feels great, smells great, looks great, and provides essential protection for my kindle DX screen while I'm on the go.
As for its potential to accidentally crack the Kindle: I've just been careful to only open it from the front cover. This is actually a really easy habit to develop because the front cover is marked with a shiny metallic Amazon logo. Just as I've never tried to open my laptop upside-down, I don't suspect I will have a problem always opening my Kindle from the front flap.

I like this cover because it protects my Kindle from getting scratched in the bottom of my purse or diaper bag. It folds over easily and is comfortable to hold.

Excellent case doesn't add bulk or much weight to the DX. Gives much needed protection to screen and the device.

I decided as a new DX owner to go with a medium priced cover that reviews I had read indicated would be nice looking, protective and keep my rather significant Kindle investment safe. I am completely satisfied thus far with my purchase of the Amazon Kindle DX Leather Cover and would highly recommend it.
