Very useful, kindle is white so it soils rapidly.
Extremely simple to apply on the Kindle, with a great aesthetic result.

I love my skin. You should know from the start it only protects your kindle case from scratches and it gives it personality. The skin does not protect the buttons or the face. I use mine in conjunction with a zippered neoprene case and a screen protector.

I thought the gel skin would be more of a protectant in case of a drop/ cushion the fall. I was mistaken. The gel skin is just that: 'skin' Actually, its more like buying coloring for your kindle so as to distringuish yours from your friends/classmates/relatives if they're all sitting on the coffe-table. But you don't need the gel skin for that, each one has its own identifier i.e. Xxxx [person's name-] kindle located there on the top bar once you 'awaken-it'. With that said, and knowing 'they got me' kinda/sorta - - I am actually glad I purchased it. This gel skin is a conversation piece. Each row of books on the bookshelves, if you look at it closely, reveals something interesting to talk about with another. Well done kindle, but next time, just tell us that Gel Skins Won't Protect and the reader will know to just go ahead and buy the darn leather case! ! !

I was expecting a "skin" like for an iPod or cell phone when I bought this... you know, the jelly-type thing that conforms to your electronic device and absorbs shock when you drop it... especially since it has an almost $20 price tag. Instead I got a pretty sticker for my Kindle. Great! Now it will be beautiful when I drop it. Too bad it will also probably be in two or more pieces.
