 My Kindle DX a great addition to my family August 30, 2010

- My Kindle DX enables me to have tens of books and newspapers at my disposal in a device as small as a Newsweek magazine and only a little thicker than a checkbook.
- It makes available different reading choices to suit the time or the mood.
- Since I've subscribed to two of my favorite newspapers, my Kindle saves me 25% and 75% respectively over the monthly cost at the newsstand.
- Being an early riser ( 4 -5 a.m.) my newspapers, which are delivered wirelessly, are available to me prior to breakfast. One arrives around 3:45 a.m. and the other before 5:00 a.m. And this is with no
additional AT&T or internet fee.
- I no longer accumulate stacks of newspapers to be put out to trash.
- My Kindle is always at my bedside in the wee hours of the night when I am sleepless.
- It's small foot-print accommodates my reading addiction at the breakfast, lunch and/or dinner table. I can't sit (at home) to eat without something to read.
- My Kindle eliminates the bothersome need to have to get up to go get the dictionary when the meaning of a word escapes me. It's built-in.
- In its brown cover, it looks like an ordinary notebook/pad. It's light weight makes it comfortable to carry to anyplace you may have an opportunity to read. Waiting in a doctor's office,
waiting on your spouse in a mall, as a passenger on a trip, waiting on your auto to be repaired, etc.. etc..
- My Kindle has been a great addition to my household.
So far, the one improvement I would like to see is for it's zoom capability on newspaper pictures to be greater than 1x but, instead, 2x or 3x. Preferably, capable of zooming to actual size with panning as needed.

I gave this Kindle to my husband for an anniversary present. We just took a cruise and he loved having it.

The Kindle DX is an excellent product. Graphics come out a lot more readable and useful then on the original Kindle. I also appreciate being able to vary the size of the typeface to accomodate elderly eyes with incipient cataracts.

I live in a rural area of Canada but have had no trouble at all downloading books to my Kindle.
Love the experience and convenience of reading on the Kindle.
Also my book collection was becoming overwhelming so the abilty to store electronically is great.

if you have not made you mind up which to buy this is the one.it so easy on your eyes plus so easy to use.
I did buy a nook but gave it to my wife this is so much faster and better.like on the nook it took about 45 seconds to 3 minute to open the bible but with the kindle dx it was about 3 seconds.wow total worth the extra money.
