Although I felt it was somewhat pricey, I LOVE my new Kindle. So much so that I may never buy another (traditional) book! My family calls me a Kindle Snob ! Books download with lightening speed and are less expensive than "real books". Some books are even FREE !
I thought I might have trouble getting used to holding a Kindle as it has a very different feel from a bound book, but that didn't happen. And I'll never again lose my page; no more scraps of paper to hold my place. Kindle does that, too. And the built-in dictionary -- WOW!
It's a great device.

I didn't realize how much I needed a Kindle DX - Need as in able to read more than 2 books at once with ease, significant savings in hardback copies and no need to accumulate boxes and boxes of books no one wanted (I can't recycle them!)
My husband agrees that the Kindle is an investment, it didn't take much convincing.
Thank you Amazon. Now I only need service in Switzerland when I travel to see my grandchildren. I am there now and miss the store, etc.

I've tried four days now and taken the Kindle to different areas of the house and it won't connect. In small print is the disclaimer that Kindle is not responsible if the machine will not connect...and the notice that a return won't be made if the machine is taken out of the packaging.
We'll see how this goes tomorrow...but for now, a bit of warning that the Kindle does not connect everywhere.

I am so in love with my Kindle. It was given to me as an anniversary present and I am throughly enjoy ordering and reading books on it. I am sorry that I didn't get one sooner as I had been hearing about them for quite some time. I very much prefer to read from the Kindle than from books.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT...what more can I say! Just pre-ordered the new Dan Brown book and there it was this morning on my Kindle. Didn't even have to get dressed and go to the store to get it! Gotta love the convenience.
