Still the best eBook Reader August 30, 2010 Joshua I. Pitts (Odenton, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love it. It has an amazing battery life and is perfectly readable in direct sunlight, unlike other "reading" devices.
I recently took this on a vacation to Mexico and was able to download books wirelessly over the 3G network. It was massively convenient.
Great resource, great formatting August 30, 2010 K. J. Carter 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Bible already has plenty of reviews establishing its quality. I love a beautiful book, and Ignatius Press's Bibles are beautiful. But I'd much rather have this Kindle version! The ability to just click a link to go to an annotation makes it so easy. No searching for the right page, no deciding it's just not worth the effort this time. Click on it, read the note, click back. So incredibly easy. I wish all books were in Kindle. I wish Peter Kreeft's "Jesus-Shock" were in Kindle. Bookmark the passages you want to come back to again and again without leafing through the post-its sticking out of the edge. I love this book, I love my Kindle, I love Scott Hahn, and I love Peter Kreeft. Thank you Amazon.com.
Kindle 2 August 30, 2010 Bobbi I love my Kindle! I have wanted a Kindle from the moment I first heard about one. I decide to wait till the price came down to purchase it. I just finished my first book on my new Kindle, and it was a joy. Now no need to have books stack up in my house anymore. Was funny though, when I first started my first book, I kept wanting to turn the pages the old way. No need....just hit the button and the page turns. Nice! I do wish the kindle was able to down-load at the library though.
My second Kindle August 30, 2010 Kathy I took my new Kindle on vacation with me and I've given my old Kindle (first generation) to my husband. I found in the design it takes a little more effort to 'pushing' the next page and the back page buttons. I also like the fact that the cover for the battery does not come loose as it did on my old one. I still love it.
like everyone I love my kindle August 30, 2010 guillaume (bruxelles, Belgique) the kindle really is a wonderful item. I love it. firstly, I love reading. I'm belgian and my native language is french, but reading in english is so better. I read a lot more in english than in french. and when I saw the kindle on amazone.com for the 1 st time I wanted it. I have it for 2 weeks or something like that. I have only 2 things to say against it. I can't read in the dark, and my battery life is only a few days. not like a month.but it can do so many things. I like having it and I try always to keep it with me outside so when I've got to wait 5 minutes I take it and read. I have french and english books on it and so when I'm bored with a book or when I don't want to read in french or in english, I take another book and another language. so many books in so little space and so light. and all the options on it are great. I can write the translation of a word which I always see and so it's easier to understand. by that way I learn more and quicker. I can also use wikipedia wherever I go. so great. it's wonderful for everyone who like reading. and the screen is great. so different than a pc screen. I never feel any pain with my eyes. I think that's all I had to say. great!
