I ordered two of these lights. One worked great, the other is dead on arrival.
After an hour of using the one that works, it seems like a perfectly serviceable light. But if you're thinking of buying one, read the comments here and be prepared for what seems to me to be an unacceptably high failure rate.

This light works well but if you are an avid night time reader you will need to replace batteries every two weeks. We ordered this light to match the Kindle cover we bought (same brand). However, I was disappopinted that I could only store it in the cover on the right side only.

I bought the booklight with the kindle case. It gives enough light to read with in total darkness and has 2 settings, not much difference though. My husband is a light sleeper who needs total darkness to fall asleep and my kindle light does not bother him too much. I would buy again.

I'm 58 and have bad eyesight and I agree with all the great things said about this light. I clearly see two light levels, it lights the entire screen. Doesn't add appreciable weight to the Kindle + cover. Can easily be positioned to avoid all glare. If you get an M-edge compatible cover you really should get this light.
There have been negative reviews about compatibility/fit with some cases. Make sure the battery cover is swiveled to the correct position relative to the big rectangular tab. For my cover it needs to go one way for reading and the other for storage. It's a snap to switch it.

I love having this light for my Kindle! It is compact, fits perfectly in my M-Edge Latitude Kindle jacket, and most importantly, provides sufficient reading light even in total darkness. The dual level switch is handy to adjust for different lighting conditions. I can read in bed now without disturbing my wife by having to keep a floor lamp on. Battery life so far has been a month and still going strong.
