The cover arrived on time and well packaged. If you are looking for what appears to be a very cheaply made vertical orientation cover for your DX, then this is for you. I tried my DX in it and immediately decided to return it. The Kindle sits in little holders along the bottom with the top corners secured by little elastic strips. While I didn't use this day to day, I was concerned that this would not actually hold the Kindle for very long. The case itself also feels flimsy and shoddy to me at least (I'm guessing of course but could this have cost more than a dollar to manufacture in China?). The case cover closes vertically and a strap then inserts into the bottom of the case -- this again feels pretty cheap. I also did not like that when you go to read the strap is flapping around.
I do have to state that I was looking principally for a cover to CARRY the kindle around, not for something to stand it up on a table. For that function, this may well be more suitable, but I still think overpriced.

This cover looks good and holds the Kindle well. However, it is too heavy and too bulky to read comfortably. I'm returning it.

add this light: Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light (Kindle Version) Black [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] to this leather jacket and you are good to go. The light fits right into a little slit that's sewn into the jacket.
There is also a pocket sewn into the case which is where I keep my list of keyboard shortcuts for the kindle.
I almost never spring for high priced accessories but I'm glad I did this time. I have 3 dogs and I think this case is going to save my Kindle's life some day.
It stands by itself if you want it to.
The best part, besides the look of it, is that it fits perfectly on my recumbent bike stand.

Very good case, easy to use, and protects the unit.
I like the ability to set the unit up to read and the pocket to
store notes or papers. I would recommend this item to any Kindle
DX owner. Well worth the price.
