 Not really made for the DX July 28, 2010

Got this for my Kindle DX so I could comfortably read in bed at night and not need the night table light on, thereby giving my spouse her needed sleep.
This is a well made light, seeming solid, quality construction. The clip is a little large, but holds securely, and is padded to not scratch the Kindle. The flexible neck is well done, as it can be contorted into an array of shapes easily whichit holds well.
The issue? The loght, even with both LEDs lit, does not evenly illuminate the large screen of the DX and thus the upper portion is brighter than the lower portion of the screen. The entire screen is still well lit enough to read, but the gradation is a bit annoying. Adjusting the light ends up producing a hot spot on the screen, not at all satisfacotry solution.
My guess is other lamps will have the same issue, so I am keeping the light, and will use it.

This light is great. Two different brightness settings makes it easy to adjust for amount of light needed. Clips securely on to any part of your kindle holder for a tight fit.

I just LOVE my mighty bright light!
I got the Kindle for my birthday last November and I been waiting to buy a light for it for a while but been putting it off, but I really enjoy reading in bed and the light in my room just was not cutting it so I browsed around and figured I get this one and boy am I happy I did!
I just adore my mighty bright! Its so bright (D'uh!) And I have yet to replace the batteries and I got a month ago and use it every night for 1 to 2 hours. Its easy to use and compact, clips right on my kindle (which has a leather case on it and a decal and its not a problem).
But this light works good for regular books too which I still read every now and then.
I have used this light for other uses too (Looking the bed for a cat lol) and I just love it and I cannot be happier with this light

The book light works great! The only problem is that the Kindle screen has a little too much glare. That is probably in the screen itself and not the fault of the light. That can be overcome by tilting the light slightly. The clip works well and the construction seems to be of high quality. I did remove the batteries when transporting it on a trip to be sure the on button didn't get pushed in transit. It is easy to transport in a small carrying bag with the Kindle.

Ok, the product of this item is bad, The LED light system on this thing is awful. It'll hurt your eyes when you try to enjoy your book. How can anyone stand to stair at a blue LED light and burn its way into your retina and give it 5 stars is beyond me. Its like staring into a street light, only difference was one hums the other doesn't. Just stick to your lampshades, they're better anyway and hurt your pupils allot less.
