 Replacing Kindle charger June 28, 2010

Took my kindle on a trip and when I returned I discovered I had left my kindle charger at the Hotel. Although I called there several times, got no results. I even knew where I had left it. How could they not find it??!!!
Ordered a replacement on Amazon and received it within 2 days! what a life saver. I love my kindle and probably would have gone into withdrawal if I had to wait too long!
Thank you Amazon for saving my sanity.

Customer Service representative Holly said she would refund the added charge to ship via overnight mail. I do not believe I received the refund. Otherwise, service was courteous.

since i spend several weeks at a time either on the east/west coast i needed not to worry about haveing my charger every time i traveled. this solved my problem. i love my kindle. amazon said it was 1st generation and it was. i worry that some time they won't carry the early equipment but so far so good.

The description was not sufficient for me to determine which charger would work on my Kindle, so I ordered both. This one would not work for me. Granted, it may b my error, but I think not. The other one I ordered works fine.

I have tried to post this comment to Amazon, but see no button for submittal. I do not wish to publicly post my negative comment, but I strongly wish to send to someone with Amazon in order that the item in question my be more fully described so that, hopefully, no one else will make the same mistake I made.

I like this product very much. I do use it most of the time when I'm at home. I wish the battery on my Kindle 1st Generation lasted longer. When I'm not at home I order my books, etc. but the battery goes down fast. So I do have in plugged in most of the time. This works fine for me.
I probably should invest in the car adapter also.
