Dissatisfied with this product. Zipper is inoperative. When I proceeded to return it, was advised that I could not get a full refund because of the time lag (just a few hours) so I still have the bag and it is not being used at all.....

The cover does not properly fit over the DX. It is too tight and really annoying. I sent mine back to Patagonia, and they have not replaced or communicated in 2 months -- disappointing.

I like this case more than the DM neoprene case I received with my Kindle DX (It was a gift). It's just as light and compact, has a pocket for your charger or other small item and this case makes it easier to hold the Kindle because it feels more like a book. I had no difficulty loading my Kindle and the side buttons and ports are easily accessible without removing it from the case. I was hoping it was a little stiffer because I need a protective case for the Kindle when I have to pack it in a duffle bag for a cycling/camping trip. I'll find out in September if it protects my Kindle.

I never thought Patagonia would turn out a substandard product but here it is. The corner retainer bands that are supposed to hold the Kindel are fabric and not elastic which means there is no practical way to mount the Kindle so that it retained within the case. In addition, if the Kindle were retained within the case, it would have to be removed for charging - there is no space to connect the charging adapter. All-in-all, this is an inferior product.

I am a new user of the Kindle and bought the case to ensure the Kindle is safe when I am travelling. I do not need a case to hold it in while I am reading it, but when carrying it around. I would add an optional longer strap to enable the user to sling it over a shoulder. I read some of the reviews, and cannot imagine why anyone would want to read the Kindle in the bath!!!
